Jewelry Care and Maintenance

For BEST wear and care of your baby/ toddler jewelry and other jewelry it is best to follow these guidelines and tips:

Jewelry with freshwater or swarovski pearls should only be worn occasionally, not everyday! pearls by nature, are just more delicate so treat them like you should any good quality jewelry!

Clean with DELICATE cleaners like the one by conniseurs ( it's like 3.99 at any store) and then dry your jewelry with a light cloth, a cold blow dryer to get out excess water and any jewelry polishing cloth made for pearls etc..

Store in a safe place and free from debris!

Jewelry with no pearls only stone, crystal or sterling silver should be worn whenever possible but, you should avoid wearing these in Bath tubs, pools, spas, lakes and any saltwater! Warm saltwater and warm water helps silver to tarnish faster than normal as the antiquing properties are sped up with prolonged exposure to these elements!

If you think your baby is going to eat really messy, remove her bracelet and put it right back on when she's all done and clean!
To clean this type of jewelry, use any jewelry cleaner out there. Please read all the instructions though. Some of the natural stones have a coating on them that can be stripped off them with some of these harsh chemicals.
I use SILVER Brilliance for anything with silver and crystal only( no stone or cateye or onyx)!
Once I've done that process, i use a polishing cloth and wipe down whatever is loosing it's luster. With my everyday bracelets , this process is a monthly thing( or bi-monthly) since they wear them just about everyday! Good polishing cloths are the Sunshine cloth, the svelty cloth and many more! I use a blow dryer on cool or compressed air to remove excess water and then put it back on my daughter's wrists!

Occasionally, some of you will have accidents or your bracelets will break( as things do, considering you can't keep your kid still 100% of the time) and you can send it back or drop it by for a free re-stringing. Then next time your kid or someone else breaks your jewelry it's a 3.00 fee to have me fix it.
Also, if your child outgrows the bracelet, sooner than expected, You can have it extended for 3.00 as well ( custom pieces may cost slightly more)! So, shoot me an email if you have trouble with anything. ( I know, I'm nice, most people don't have that kind of customer service!)

Please remember that all my pacifier clips have a 6 month warranty and the same re-stringing rules apply. Remember to NEVER leave a child unattended with a pacifier clip, ever! Do not put them in the crib with your baby. As, with any jewelry, there is always a risk of choking on a bead. But, pretty much all of my beads are small enough to be passed through the system if swallowing does occur. I can't say it will be all fun and games but my RN friend says that anything about the 3/4's of an inch( a quarter) is choking material( that's almost and inch in diameter). Most of my jewelry's beads aren't even close to that size! Luckily!
If you ever have any questions please email me anytime!
Lastly, just be a SMART and Savvy Momma and use all beaded things with care and responsibility. Even your own jewelry should be worn with caution around those babies that like to grab and stick things in the mouth!
Thanks!
