NEW CASES and NEW CLIENT!

I made a few more new cases and I must be going case crazy b/c 2 of these are FOR ME! The Zebra one and the Amy Butler Duck egg case( aqua and pinks). Only b/c the zebra fabric is 10 yrs old and i made a purse out of it when i was dating my husband so, it will go with me in my black purse. The Duck Egg one will match the stroller blankets i got from The Pat-a-cake Baby

and the Car Seat covers I had The Baby Guy make for my two girl's. It also matches the coordinating double grocery cart cover from the same Company! I'll be putting in orders of every kind for anything he makes. If you are interested you can call or email me. He makes plenty other sewn things and is pretty reasonable!
These are satin stretchy diaper straps that are useful and they don't look half bad!

I added BLING to my case! Just a touch. PS, i don't let my kids play with wipe cases. they'd just take all the wipes out anyways and use them to clean everything or as blankets for their Penelope Peapod dolls.

I picked up a new client too. PINK AVENUE BRIDE.com They specialize in favors and all the fun and decorative stuff i n wedding planning. they will carry some cute clips and bands for flower girls!

Oh, Our wipes case class went spiffy! The girls had a blast chatting and we made tons of cute cases which will later be shown on Mommasassy.blogspot.com

I'll start putting flowers up next week on my etsy store! Along with the Spring Sale:) Don't miss this sale. It will be a good one!

Skinny and Dainty

No, I'm not describing myself, I'm describing my newest headbands. I've still got a ways to go before i can be called either of those things:)The dainty lace headbands are about 1/2 inch wide and are perfect for newborns an babies with or without hair! Brielle and Aria can wear these and just have the top of the band showing with a big flower on the band or a small one.
They come in many colors and will be sold mostly with my new mini bling clips which will cost about 8. with the clip and the band.
The skinny bands are also interchangeable and are a little over a 1/4 of an inch wide. Perfect for girls with lots of hair too! They come in all the colors pictured as well as black and white!
More sweet stuff to come soon!

Wash and care for your headbands and hair clips!

So, i have had some of Brielle's hair clips for over 2 years now and things do get dingy so, i thought I'd pass my secrets to you on how to keep your clips and headband looking the BEST EVER!

Hair Clips/ Flowers:
I use a pin head size of dish detergent a wet wipe and some water and i wipe down my big flowers and little flowers when needed. I also use a toothbrush to scrub out dried on food( which does happen with babies) I let them air dry in a warm( not hot) spot.
I have also used a small garment bag and put my flowers and bows in  that and ran it through the wash( COLD) with my kids clothes. I removed them and let them air dry. I even put ones that have rhinestone centers in there. It's up to you.

When my petals are starting to fray a bit, i take my tiny scissors and snip the edges and give them a trim. Then I take a lighter and swipe the edges through the flame( this can be tricky:)
That seals ribbon and fabric edges very well. If you don't trust yourself don't do it. Just use the scissors.
I have used a product called FRAY CHECK on the edges( available almost any where craft stuff is sold) but it can show up on darker colored ribbon or flowers. I works great though!

Headbands:
Sometimes my daughter takes hers off an plays with it in the car seat. She has even pulled strands out of it a few times. I just pull it evenly with my hands on the inside then i take tweezers or use my fngers an make the loops even again. It's that easy.
If you have fray issues( not really that common) Take a Lighter to the edges very quickly and that will stop the fraying. Don't use fray check on these. It doesn't work that well on this fabric, i've found.
You can wash these in a garment bag in the washer when needed or by hand as instructed above. either way, don't put them in with your clips. That's just silly as the clips have stuff the strands can catch on.
I hope that helps. look this up when you need it!
